The Otherfolk's Anniversary, Part One

This time last year, I was scrambling to get everything ready to publish The Otherfolk on March 23rd, 2025. Now, one year later, I'm planning several big things to celebrate the anniversary! I'll be announcing two today, one next Monday, and one the Monday after that (on The Otherfolk's first birthday)!

First of all, I'll be doing a free giveaway of personalized copies of The Otherfolk and Beyond the Wall! IngramSpark gives me the option to insert a customizable page into my print-on-demand books, so I'll be able to put a custom dedication in the front of the book for whoever wins and ship the books directly to you, anywhere in the world.

To enter, all you have to do is write a review of The Otherfolk or Beyond the Wall for my website. You can get your name in the drawing three times: one for reviewing The Otherfolk, one for reviewing Beyond the Wall, and one more if your reviews are on Goodreads, Amazon, B&N, or another public website. To submit your reviews, fill out this form!

Reviews are one of the biggest hurdles for me right now. To random Amazon buyers, The Otherfolk looks like a brand-new yet outdated book that no one cares about and probably isn't any good. Reviews are the number one way for me to start capturing an audience. Even if you can't put them on Amazon or Goodreads, I can incorporate them on my website. This makes The Otherfolk, Beyond the Wall, and me more credible. (You can opt out of the use of your name.)

Secondly, I'm working on compiling an official The Otherfolk playlist! It'll be released on March 23rd along with the announcement about the winners of the drawing and my other two surprises. The playlist will consist of one song per chapter of the book. And in case you have a burning idea, you can submit your ideas right here! You're welcome to submit as many songs as you want, and I'll listen to them all and weigh them with the other nominations for that chapter!
